When you contact me to book your first appointment we can have an initial discussion of your needs and the approach we might take. Each person brings their unique set of concerns and circumstances and during the first session we will gain an understanding of the key issues and make a plan of treatment together. Relationships and couples therapy
The focus of couples therapy is on the relationship between you. You would both get a chance to speak and be heard at regular appointments together and I would enable you to understand the dynamics between you, to manage strong emotional reactions and to make informed choices about the way forward. This would then be supported in therapy to help you modify any unhelpful habits and to feel safer and closer with each other.
